Bethesda has released the first unedited gameplay footage of Quake Champions. The new video shows the fast-paced gameplay of the game.
The new video shows the fast-paced gameplay that the franchise is known for. Players will have to pick up weapons from predefined weapon spawn locations and there are no limits on how many weapons a player can carry. The game will also not feature character loadouts but does contain hero characters.
Quake Champions will be a freemium shooter game because hero characters are locked behind a paywall in the free version. Each hero character features unique abilities that can give players the edge over other players.
Once the game releases, both free players and paid players will have access to the same maps and compete in the same brackets, with the difference being that winning matches will most definitely be easier when playing with paid Champions.
Earlier today Bethesda also sent out invitations to the first closed beta test for the game. The closed beta test will run for 4 days as it starts on April 6th 2017 at 10:00AM EDT and ends on April 9th 2017 at 16:00PM EDT.
The game is currently in development for PC and is expected to be released later this year. A console version has not been announced but is likely to follow after the game's launch on the PC.
