New images that have been posted on Reddit earlier this week reportedly show concept box artwork for an upcoming World War II Call of Duty game.
The images show box artwork for a game titled Call of Duty WWII featuring images that seem to be based off of the popular World War II movie Saving Private Ryan.
Whether the images are legit remains to be seen but it is known that one of the three Call of Duty development studios, Sledgehammer Games, is currently working on a Call of Duty title.
Earlier this year Activision already confirmed that the next Call of Duty game would be taking the franchise "back to its roots", further indicating that the images may be the real deal.
It does not seem likely that the decision to go back to the franchises' roots was made in response to the success of the recent Battlefield game Battlefield 1 because the new Call of Duty game has already been in development for several years.
