Bethesda has announced that it will release Skyrim for Nintendo Switch on November 17, 2017. It is one of the games that was teased during the console's reveal last year.
The game seems to be a direct port of the new The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim Special Edition that was released last year. The game features support for the gyro sensors included in the JoyCon controller.
The Nintendo Switch edition of Skyrim features lower polygon models and lower resolution textures to allow the handheld console to render the game at the expected framerates.
Although the development studio still has not released many details, the game seems to be making full use of the console's JoyCon controllers by allowing players to control weapons with certain motions.
The game was rumored to be coming to the Nintendo Switch ever since Nintendo included Skyrim gameplay footage in the console's reveal trailer in December, 2016. In January, 2017, Bethesda officially confirmed that Skyrim would be coming to the console.
Skyrim for Nintendo Switch launches on November 17, 2017.
