The Wii U edition of Minecraft will receive Super Mario content through a recently announced update. The so-called Super Mario Mash-Up Pack contains large mario-themed worlds, 40 skins and 15 music pieces. The mario-themed worlds are based on some of the best games of the Mario franchise, including Super Mario World, Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine.
The new skins allow players to change their appearance to that of Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Bowser and even Wario, amongst many others. Besides player skins the update also contains textures for items and blocks, allowing players to create their own Mario-themed world.
The Mash-Up pack is only available for Wii U and can be downloaded for free through the Nintendo eShop starting May 17th.
